Life in Kabul

I’m not saying this is everyday life but it is a threat. Today we met a few families who had been victim of Taliban attacks in Kabul.

This lady is explaining to Alex how she has some shrapnel in her eye from an explosion at her work.

Next we move on to a family who lost the father / husband / main bread winner, again in an explosion. Here they are visiting the grave in what would be the village green. The mother is in the blue burhka and is still very much upset as are the rest of the family.

Its now down to the eldest son to provide while the other three kids are still at school. Given the circumstances they are coping very well but it is very sad to see their loss.
