So I am writing these things the wrong way round but I will get round to telling what a nightmare changing houses was at some stage soon. Now however here are pictures of the new house - now that we have moved in any everything is in place - well almost.
First we will start with the road outside - and the usual traffic. This means that when it cools down we’ll be able to cycle around to get some exercise without the thought of some maniac knocking us all down.
The front gate - much more reasonable.
Inside we are alot more compact. Why landlords don’t make more properties this size I don’t know as most expats here are daunted by the huge house we had before but this would be perfect. They are missing out on a trick and more money to boot.
Into the hall with the gorgeous model - Lucy adorning the floor.
From the stairway.
The lounge - with Aaron assuming the position for watching cartoons.
We do need to put up some pictures though.
Lucy modelling the dining room - though a bt more coyly.
Aaron at last has his own bedroom to make as much noise as he wants - until Kathy hears that is!!
The office with real broadband - well 256kbps and a wireless router so I can use my laptop anywhere in the house to surf.
Moving upstairs we have the master bedroom. You notice all the curtains that are so perfectly in place well they are ones from the old house and altered at Rs15 a curtain. Or in real money just shy of 19p. Getting all the curtains remade cost about GBP 7.50 if that.
Jessica’s room with both Ben and Jessica assuming the position for watching cartoons on Jess’s new TV. Eihter that or they are watching the aircon.
Well I did say we were almost unpacked. Poor Ben can’t make head or tail of his stuff. He has found the Lego though.
Strange this room does resemble a certain other room in Bath! (Or used to so I am led to believe - yeah right)
Kathy’s balcony - for that morning and afternoon snooze.
Ah yes - the pool. Just to be smug, I’m writing this whilst watching the kids in the pool - though its blooming hot and sweaty, a mere 44C.
Lastly the garden - which is a much better size and far more practical.
All in all we are very pleased. Since moving we haven’t thought about the old place at all. This is one that we could stay in for a couple of years at least - possibly.
